25 Year Steel Frame Warranty Plus

Welcome to the King Living Warranty Plus program which has been designed to ensure you are provided with the best possible protection for your new furniture. Unlike ordinary furniture, King furniture is manufactured without staples. The removable cover system enables for the easier replacement of components allowing King furniture to outlast and outperform ordinary furniture. Our aim is to ensure your furniture continues looking great into the future, and in the unlikely event a problem may arise, it will be dealt with appropriately and with minimum inconvenience to you.

THE WARRANTY

The following only applies if you deal as a “consumer” as defined under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act of Singapore (Cap. 52A) and may not otherwise apply in your particular case. In telling you the following, we do not limit, vary or extend the remedies otherwise available to you at law.

Our goods come with specific warranties and you are entitled to repair, replacement or refund of the goods for any major defect or non-conformity and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major defect or non-conformity.

In purchasing the goods, you agree that we have a choice whether to repair or replace, and that is the limit of our liability under this warranty. This warranty does not cover any damage caused by the use of manufacturer’s parts and consumables which are not genuine. Kindly note that for any item or part that is not actually manufactured by us, we will only provide that repair or replacement service to the extent that we can obtain the manufacturer’s approval to do so on their behalf, otherwise we will not offer that repair or replacement warranty for such an item or part. 

Purchases of indoor products manufactured by King Living after the 1st January 2015 will be covered against component failure for a period of up to 25 years from the date of purchase under the following terms and conditions:

1. The steel or alloy frame used in each piece of King furniture is warranted against failure due to a manufacturing fault for a period of up to 25 years from the date of purchase.

2. Other components including, King Leathers, King Fabrics, foam, feather and fibre fillings, suspension, springs, mechanisms including sofa bed mechanisms, zippers, touch fasteners and legs (but excluding electric and motion components) are warranted against failure due to a manufacturing defect for a period of 15 years according to the Pro Rata Schedule provided in Annex A hereto.

3. Electric and motion components for all King furniture are warranted against failure due to a manufacturing defect for a period of 2 years.

4. Accessories manufactured by King Living (excluding electrical accessories) are warranted against failure due to a manufacturing defect for a period of 2 years.

5. Electrical accessories manufactured by King Living are warranted against failure due to a manufacturing defect for a period of 12 months.

6. Fabrics, leathers, suspension components, cushioning and fillings will show signs of wear and tear with use. Normal wear and tear is not covered by this warranty. Fabrics and leathers will fade and crease. Foam and fillings will soften and form to the shape of the user over time. Depending on the covering and the degree of use, the covering materials, cushion fillings and suspension may need to be replaced periodically at the purchaser’s expense. Scars, marks and differing pore density and colour are natural characteristics of leather and not to be considered defects.

7. Any repair or replacement under this warranty is limited to the defective part only. Freight, house calls, labour and other items are charged to the purchaser at standard King Living rates and are not included in this warranty (except for those costs provided under Singapore Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded). Covering components replaced under this warranty may vary in colour and texture to the original.

8. King Living reserves the right to decide whether a component should be repaired or replaced. King Living Customer Service must be notified of any defect within 14 days of the defect occurring. Such replacement or repair is offered by King Living at its sole discretion. If the item is no longer sold by King Living, King Living will provide an appropriate replacement, which shall be determined by King Living at its sole discretion.

This warranty will end immediately if the furniture becomes defective as a consequence of misuse, use outdoors, lack of proper care and maintenance, commercial use or handling in transit. To benefit under this warranty, the purchaser must forward to King Living a completed warranty registration card supplied within 14 days of purchase. This warranty applies to the original purchaser only who may not assign or transfer any benefit conferred by this guarantee and a person who is not the original purchaser shall not have any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act of Singapore (Cap. 53B)to enforce or enjoy the benefit of any of these terms and conditions herein. For the purposes of any protection from King Living, all subsequent purchasers acquire the furniture “as is”.

Disclaimer of all other warranties and obligations: 

This warranty and King Living’s obligations thereunder is in lieu of all other warranties (except for those provided under the Singapore Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded) whether expressed or implied, including without limitation all other representations made to the original purchaser.

10 Year Steel Frame Outdoor Warranty Plus

Welcome to the King Living Outdoor Warranty Plus program which has been designed to ensure you are provided with the best possible protection for your new outdoor furniture. Unlike ordinary furniture, King Living is manufactured without staples. The removable cover system enables for the easier replacement of components allowing King Living to outlast and outperform ordinary furniture. Our aim is to ensure your furniture continues looking great into the future, and, in the unlikely event a problem may arise, it will be dealt with appropriately and with minimum inconvenience to you.

THE WARRANTY

The following only applies if you deal as a "consumer" as defined under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act of Singapore (Cap. 52A) and may not otherwise apply in your particular case. In telling you the following, we do not vary or extend the remedies otherwise available to you under law.

1. The steel or alloy frame used in each piece of outdoor King Living is warranted against failure due to a manufacturing fault for a period of up to 10 years from the date of purchase.

2. Other components including, King Leathers, King Fabrics, KingWeave, foam, feather and fibre fillings, suspension, springs, mechanisms including sofa bed mechanisms, zippers, touch fasteners, legs and outdoor accessories are warranted against failure due to a manufacturing defect for a period of two years.

3. Fabrics, leathers, suspension components, cushioning and fillings will show signs of wear and tear with use. Normal wear and tear is not covered by this warranty. Edge Collection 2 year Warranty

The following only applies if you deal as a "consumer" under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act of Singapore (Cap. 52A) and may not apply in your particular case. In telling you the following, we do not vary or extend the remedies otherwise available to you at law.

The Edge Collection ("Product") is warranted against failure due to a manufacturing defect for a period of two years. Timber Veneer is a natural product and colour variations due to exposure to the local environment are not covered by this warranty. This warranty also does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, damage caused by impacts or accidents, or consequential or incidental damage.

Our goods come with warranties that cannot be excluded under Singapore Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Any repair or replacement under this warranty is limited to the defective part only. Freight, house call, labour and other items are charged to the purchaser at standard King Living rates and are not included in this warranty (except for those costs provided under Singapore Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded). Components replaced under this warranty may vary in colour and texture to the original.

This warranty is in addition to any rights a consumer may have under Singapore Consumer Law. Any paragraph of this warranty which is unenforceable or void is to be severed and the rest of this warranty will remain in force.

This warranty will end immediately if the Product becomes defective as a consequence of misuse, lack of proper care and maintenance, commercial-use or handling in transit.

King Living reserves the right to determine whether a part has failed due to a defect or wear and tear. Any item requiring replacement due to wear and tear will be at the purchaser’s expense. King Living reserves the right to decide whether a component should be repaired or replaced. Such replacement or repair is offered by King Living at its sole discretion.

How to claim under this warranty:

To benefit under this warranty, the purchaser must forward to King Living a properly completed warranty registration card

supplied within 14 days of purchase. King Living Customer Service must be notified of any defect within 14 days of the defect occurring.

This warranty applies to the original purchaser only who may not assign or transfer any benefit conferred by this warranty and a person who is not the original purchaser shall not have any rights under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act of Singapore (Cap. 53B) to enforce or enjoy the benefit of any of these terms and conditions herein. For the purposes of any protection from King Living, all subsequent purchasers acquire the Product “as is”.

Extended Warranty

Recliner Electric and Motion Furniture Warranty 

The following only applies if you deal as a "consumer" under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act of Singapore (Cap. 52A) and may not apply in your particular case. In telling you the following, we do not vary or extend the remedies otherwise available to you at law.

2 Year Warranty

All recliner electric and motion components contained in the King Living furniture (Product) are warranted against failure due to a manufacturing fault for a period of two years. 

3 Year Extended Warranty

The two year warranty above can be extended for eligible Customers for an additional three years (Extended Warranty Period), thereby totaling five years for $____ per recliner module/seat provided that:

1)the eligible Customer's delivery address is in the metro area of cities with a King Living Showroom (Eligible Customer Address) and;

2)that the Product remains at the Eligible Customer Address for the Extended Warranty Period. 

Please check with our staff to confirm that your address is an Eligible Customer Address for the Extended Warranty.

Terms and conditions applicable to both the Two year and Three Year Extended Warranty

This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, cuts or scratches, damage caused by impacts or accidents, or consequential or incidental damage.

This warranty will end immediately if the Product becomes defective as a consequence of misuse, lack of proper care and maintenance, commercial-use or handling in transit.

Our goods come with warranties that cannot be excluded under Singapore Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
